The San Diego Mobile Film School was created by S. Botello Productions™ as a bridge to connect an artist's dream with the tools he or she needs to realize their dream.

International Mobil Film Festival™ in San Diego was created by S. Botello Productions™ to provide a place where all filmmakers could compete in an equal arena by being limited to using only mobile phones as film/video cameras. While one is limited to using the phone for recording video footage the limit stops there. Editing can still be done on the computer or the phone. Apps are limited only in the sense that apps which make edit decisions cannot be used. The purpose of the film festival was to allow anyone with a dream to use what we all have available, mobile phones to showcase their talents and skills regardless, of income, experience, education, age or anything. Basically, we encourage all humans to try this.
Some of the filmmakers who have entered our film festivals are professionals and some are novices. We work to inspire everyone in the world to tell a story using their phone and enter our film festival. Although our film festival is not an online film festival we do have the benefits of such. Anyone can enter from all over the world. We provide a venue to showcase the films on big screens with an audience, a red carpet experience and an award ceremony with networking among filmmakers and industry professionals. It's a celebration unlike other film festivals where most attendees are professionals in the industry. The coolest part of what we put together is that anyone who simply wants to do this can do it. Anyone who has the courage to try this can benefit. All you need is a good story. The rest is learned using a smartphone camera, creativity and perseverance.
Submitting your film is easy. .We encourage filmmakers to attend. If you do, you can have the experience of walking the red carpet, seeing your name and film on our website and then being included in our promotions along with many opportunities to be a part of something innovative in an emerging industry.
The rules are posted on the RULES page on our website. Go there and make sure you understand them. You will also need to fill out a registration form and sign it.
